San Francisco, 03/13/2008—David L. Smith, CEO of digital media agency Mediasmith, has been
designated program chair for the Metrics track sessions at the OMMA Global
conference in Hollywood, CA on March 17th and 18th. Top
executives from all sectors of the online world will congregate in Hollywood for MediaPost’s semi-annual conference in online media,
marketing and advertising.
Mr. Smith has organized a panel
of moderators to include Mediasmith Chief Search Officer, Bob Heyman; VP, Account Director, Derek Leedy; and Associate Media Director, Eliot Kent-Uritam. Their panel discussions will
touch topics concerning online brand awareness, video distribution, and
digital media dashboards.
Bob Heyman will be panel moderator of the track Video Distribution: Technology and Metrics.
Key area of concentration will be: measurement and distribution technologies
for Web Video with leading industry vendors. Mr. Heyman is a leading
author and entrepreneur in the field of Internet Marketing. He sits on the Search Marketing Committee
of the American Association of Advertising Agencies and on the Marketing
Committee of the Search Engine Marketing Professional Association (SEMPO). He writes a monthly column for MediaPost’s Search Insider entitled “Search
Innovation Spotlight” and is a frequent contributor to iMedia Connection.
Derek
Leedy will be
panel moderator of the track Online
Brand Awareness Simplified. Key areas of concentration will be: creation
and measurement of brand awareness using Web display campaigns. Mr. Leedy has worked in media
and marketing since 1995, having held management positions on both the agency
and client side of the business. As
VP, Account Director at Mediasmith, he is responsible for overseeing internal
team management and leading client strategy.

Media Conference and IDG.
Eliot
Kent-Uritam
will be panel moderator of the track Dashboards
as a Window into Media Analytics. Key areas of concentration will be: why
clients and agencies need digital media campaign dashboards, current options
and capabilities, and expectations for the near future. Mr. Kent-Uritam has been with Mediasmith since 1999 and is
currently Associate Media Director, driving digital and offline media
strategy for both consumer and B2B clients. Eliot advises clients on sales
funnels, volumetric projections, market priority, and other strategic
initiatives that leverage his media and analytical skills. His writing history includes articles for MediaPost.
