Mediasmith Adds to Executive Suite, Media Management

 

San Francisco, CA – To reflect the rapid growth of Mediasmith Inc. as a leader in media integration, Mediasmith announced a number of staff additions and promotions.

Joining Mediasmith are Angelique Vega as Media Director, Ward Flock as VP Business Development, Carol Fullam as General Manager, Clair Henvey as Media Strategist and Jay Schaefer as Interactive Media Buyer. Promoted to Media Director are Derek Leedy and Jinenne Sutherland (nee Miller). Promoted to Operations Manager is Lynn Taniguchi.

Ms. Vega served as SVP Group Media Director/Director of Media Strategy for Publicis & Hal Riney responsible for HP and Saturn prior to joining Mediasmith. She has also done stints at Universal McCann in San Francisco and at Young & Rubicam in New York City. Ms. Vega is a graduate of the University of New Mexico.

Mr. Flock joins Mediasmith from Decide Interactive where he served as Vice President Sales. Mr. Flock’s career has included sales management stints at Inc. Magazine/Inc.com, Engage/Flycast Communications, The Wall Street Journal and Netscape Communications. Prior to Netscape, Mr. Flock served in sales posts for Forbes Magazine where he was founding Advertising Director for Forbes ASAP, CMP Publications, and McGraw-Hill Publications. Mr. Flock is a recipient of credentials as an Executive Coach from The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and a graduate of Denison University.

Ms. Fullam was most recently at Black Rocket and Euro RSCG San Francisco where she was Director of Finance and Operations. Prior to that she served at Wcities as North American Controller, Comedy World as Director of Finance & Administration and AmeriCom USA as Controller. Ms. Fullam also served as Founder and President of Dana and Fullam, a tax and accounting firm with over 800 clients which she sold in 1998. She is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University.

Ms. Henvey came to Mediasmith from Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners where she was a Media Supervisor on Cricket. Prior to BSSP she was a Senior Media Planner at FCB in San Francisco and a Media Planner at Carat in Dallas. Ms. Henvey is a graduate of Southern Methodist University.

Mr. Schaefer joins Mediasmith from Xoom Corporation where he served as Marketing Manager. Prior to Xoom, Mr. Schaefer served as Online Marketing Manager for Let’s Talk and GameLink, as Media Buyer for Open Enterprises and also worked at SF Interactive and Match.com.

Mr. Leedy first joined Mediasmith in 1998 after working with Reebok Sports Academy and rose up through the ranks into media management. He left Mediasmith in 2000, working in marketing management roles for Verde.comand Securant Technologies until his return to Mediasmith as Media Account Director in 2001. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.

Ms. Sutherland joined Mediasmith as Media Manager in 2003 from Lot21/Carat where she was Associate Media Director. Prior to that she was at Publicis. Ms. Sutherland is a graduate of the University of Oregon.

Ms. Taniguchi started at Mediasmith in 1998 and rose up through the ranks to IT Manager prior to her promotion to Operations Manager. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University.
